The Academy of Art University Athletic Department is proud to announce that it is
starting the schools first collegiate athletic program. We will be applying to the NCAA for
Division II status and begin official play 2008-2009. Each of our programs will offer
athletic scholarships to student-athletes who possess high athletic skill and academic
prowess. The
Urban Knights will sponsor the following teams:
• Cross Country/Track and Field (Men and Women)
• Soccer (Men and Women)
• Volleyball (Women)
• Basketball (Men and Women)
• Baseball
• Softball
• Golf (Men)
• Tennis (Women)

Prospective Student-Athletes
All students who want to participate in intercollegiate athletics MUST apply with the NCAA
Eligibility Center. This includes high school students, junior college transfer students, and
international students. Please note that the requirements for the NCAA are different than the
admissions standards at Academy of Art University. The athletics department must comply with
the
NCAA standards for eligibility.
